Your account

Do I need an account? No. Pick your state, province or country and your test, and start practicing. Create a free account (with Apple, Google or email) to save your progress and use it on another device.

I forgot my password. On the log-in screen, tap Forgot password?. We’ll email you a 6-digit code to set a new password.

How do I change my state, province or test? Go to Settings and tap Change on your course.

VIP and purchases

What does VIP include? The first step of your roadmap and quick practice are free. VIP unlocks the full roadmap, practice by topic and your mistakes review. You can choose a weekly, monthly or 6-month subscription, or pay once for lifetime access.

I paid but don’t have VIP. Make sure you’re signed in to the account you bought VIP with, then open the VIP screen and tap Restore purchases. If it still doesn’t show, email us with your account email and the receipt from Apple or Google.

New phone or tablet? Sign in with the same account. VIP stays with your account, and Restore purchases also works with the same Apple ID or Google account.

Subscriptions and refunds

Subscriptions are billed by the store you bought them from, so they’re managed there:

• iPhone or iPad: open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions.
• Android: open Google Play, tap your profile, then Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.

Cancelling stops the next renewal; VIP stays until the end of the period you paid for. Refunds are also handled by the store: request one at reportaproblem.apple.com for Apple, or in Google Play’s order history. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel a subscription.

Questions and tests

Which tests are covered? In the United States, the car, motorcycle and CDL knowledge tests for all 50 states and Washington, D.C. In the United Kingdom, the car and motorcycle theory tests (not hazard perception). In Canada, the Ontario G1 knowledge test.

Is the app official? No. Driving Exam Prep is an independent study app, not affiliated with any DMV, the DVSA, the MTO or other government agency. Questions are written for practice and may differ from your real test, so study your official handbook too.
