This policy explains what information the Driving Exam Prep app (“the app”, “we”, “us”) collects, why, who it’s shared with, and the choices you have. The app is provided by Social Blasters (Sadiya Akther Epa), House 71/2, Road 10/01, Village: Niamothpur, Boroikandi, Sylhet 3100, Bangladesh.
Information we collect
Account information
- Email and password, if you sign up with email. Your password is stored only in hashed form; we can’t read it.
- Google account details, if you sign in with Google: your email address, your Google account identifier, and the basic profile details Google shares at sign-in (such as your name and profile photo link).
You can use much of the app without an account. As a guest, your course choice is saved only on your device.
Your course and settings
- Your country, state or province, and the test you’re preparing for (for example, car, motorcycle or CDL).
- For CDL learners: your license class and the endorsements you chose.
- Your daily question goal and your time zone (used to count study days correctly).
Your learning activity
- The answers you give, your scores, lessons completed, questions answered wrong, and your study streak.
Purchases
- When you buy VIP, the app store (Google Play or the Apple App Store) processes the payment. We receive the product you bought, a purchase token or transaction ID, the purchase status and dates, so we can unlock VIP and keep it in sync with renewals, cancellations and refunds.
- We never receive or store your card or payment details.
Reviews you send
- If you rate the app in our own form: your star rating, your review text, the first name you enter, and whether you allow us to show your review. If you allow it, we may show your review in the app with that first name and where you’re studying (your state, province or country).
Usage and crash information
- App usage (Google Firebase Analytics): which screens you view and events such as finishing a quiz, passing a lesson, viewing the VIP offer or completing a purchase, together with an app-instance identifier and basic device information (such as device model, operating system and approximate region).
- Crash reports (Google Firebase Crashlytics): when the app crashes or hits an error, technical details such as the error, device model, operating system version and app version.
Information stored on your device
- Your course choice, app settings (such as light or dark theme), your sign-in session (in your device’s secure storage), and counters used to decide when to ask for a store rating.
How we use your information
- To provide your course: the right questions, roadmap and practice for your state and test.
- To save your progress, streak and mistakes, including across devices when you’re signed in.
- To verify purchases and give you VIP access, and to keep it correct after renewals, cancellations and refunds.
- To send emails you ask for, such as a password reset code.
- To show featured reviews, only those whose authors allowed it.
- To understand how the app is used, fix crashes and improve it.
- To prevent abuse and fraud, and to meet legal obligations.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for advertising. We share it only with:
- Google: Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics (usage and crash data), Google Sign-In (if you use it) and Google Play Billing (purchases).
- Apple: App Store purchases, if you use the app on iPhone or iPad.
- Our hosting provider, which runs the servers that store your account and progress.
- Our email provider, which delivers emails such as password reset codes.
- Other learners: only your review, first name and where you’re studying, and only if you allowed it.
- Authorities, when the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and us.
These providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
How long we keep it
- Your account information, course, progress, purchases and reviews are kept while you have an account, and are deleted when you delete your account.
- Records of notifications we receive from the app stores (for example, a renewal or refund) don’t contain your name or email and may be kept for accounting and fraud prevention.
- Analytics and crash data are kept by Google according to its retention settings.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app: Settings → Delete account. This permanently deletes your account, course, progress, purchase records and reviews from our servers. You can also ask us to delete your account by emailing support@socialblasters.com from the address you signed up with. The steps are also on our account deletion page.
Subscriptions are billed by the app store. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel a subscription. Cancel it in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions) or in your Apple ID settings.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in the EU, the UK GDPR, Canadian privacy law or US state laws such as the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your information, and to object to or restrict some processing. To use these rights, email support@socialblasters.com. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
You can stop app usage collection by uninstalling the app. You can withdraw permission to show your review by changing it in the app’s rating form.
Security
Information is sent between the app and our servers over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Passwords are stored hashed, and your sign-in session is kept in your device’s secure storage. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Children
The app is meant for people preparing for a driving permit, licence or theory test and isn’t directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
This website
The website at drivingexamprep.com shows information about the app and free practice tests. It has no accounts, and it doesn’t use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. It remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme in your own browser’s storage, which never leaves your device. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, to run and secure the site.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. If the changes are significant, we’ll tell you in the app or by email. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed.
